Berguntruking/ASGORE Lyrics
On my halls, twilight falls;
On this Wall, the fate of all
Rests on thee - rests on me!
O that I could flee from what I've come to be!
Twilight falls, and too shall we all
Should I fail - but how can I prevail?
Freedom calls the end of our shawl,
But what of my veil... of sin?
Spare thy kindness, I'll spare thee mine;
Spare thy tears - they're sharper than spears!
Spare my mind! O how you remind

Zelda Lyrics: Ballad of the Wind Fish
Wind of Life, give me flight
Beyond the shoreline;
Set me free - free to soar
B'yond the sea!
By thy might, may I lie
Amid the starlight,
As I rise - rise once more
Thru the skies!
O seagulls, take me;
Send me onward to
Horizons unseen!
'Til then, fall I again
And weep... my Hero!
Wind of Hope, as you roam
Across the unknown,
May I hear - hear thy song
Drawing near!
Guide me home from the lone-
-ly World of seafoam.
Be my light - light the long
Ocean night!
O skyfish, wake me;
Turn my dream into
Reality!
'Til then, Nightmare again
Will reign... my Hero!
Wind of Peace, bid to cease
The storm about me;
In its wake, wake the World
For my sake!
"Do not grieve - I'll not leave
My place within thee -
In thy dreams- in thy heart
Shall I be!"
O, come and save me!
As you wander toward
Horizons unseen,
My friend, think of me then;
Farewell... my Hero!

Last
It is a tough word -
As enduring as that to which it refers;
Valient standing, brinking on the abyss of "Lost" -
Ever the frontier 'twixt "Success" and "Fail";
Remote and solidary - the gateway veil
Parting one era from ages to come. Whether it be a
Resistance's last stand, or the

Vigilant last warrior, or an

Or lasting an onslaught of beasts: by
Faith were they created; by faith shall they everlastingly live.

Fi's Awakening (Part 1 REVISED): Time
A young child, only twelve, held up the royal instrument he had just recently acquired.
Despite his best efforts, he could not forget the white horse, nor the darkness chasing behind it. He focused on his goal – to enter the Sacred Realm. Link was in the Temple of Time, and he had very little time to waste. He played the song which naturally hummed from within the blue stone, feeling the river of Time slip from his lips and out of the Ocarina. The Spiritual Stones rested upon the tablet, glowing faintly. The Door that diverged the course of Time, like a stone in a river, began to open; thus it let the ages of two very ancient Lands merge and commune: those of Hyrule and the Sacred Realm. As Link, between worlds, walked through this Door of Time, he heard the voice of his friend in mid-speech; and, coming to himself, he paid attention to her final words:
"...That legendary blade, the Master Sword!"
"Legendary," thought the child. "I certainly haven't heard or seen any legends of t

Fi's Awakening (Part 5): Phantoms and Spirits
“She should be back by now.”
Oshus loved Ciela, but her memory loss had made the Spirit of Courage a bit over-zealous. He wasn’t really that worried – the island was safe enough, peaceful. But Oshus was curious as to the cause for her extended absence. Soon, however, he decided that in this spare time he now had he would take a trip to the entrance of his Temple. The road was getting dangerous, but he could manage (nothing a cane can’t take care of). He took many a step approaching the stone walls once a monument to his strength.
Upon entering into the cursed halls once dedicated in reverence to him, Oshus lost the will of his legs and fell to his knees. A few tears slowly left the pools of his eyes. The memory of Bellum’s gaze stung like an open wound. Nevertheless, the Ocean King rose after a while, and continued on towards the altar of the Phantom Hourglass. The sun’s rays, emitting from the doorway, dimly shone upon the Sand of Hours protec

Zelda Lyrics: Midna's Lament
{Verse 1: Midna}
Sun of Midnight, shed my tears; (Weep for pain, weep in vain)...
Son of Twilight, bred in fear: (How could you retain)
Hope --
Hope and love and might
In the Light?
East of Twilight, hasten on (Through the rain, paw in chain)...
Beast of Midnight, face the Dawn! (I, a wretched stain)
In the light all-piercing,
On my bier, sing:
"Hold me fast, hold me tight;
Mend my fright..."
Hear my last, silent cry:
"I for thee will die..."
{Verse 2: Link}
Peace, my Midnight, ebb thy tears; (Let thy woe, gently go)...
Cease, for Twilit morn draws near; (Is it still thy foe)?
No...
Hope regain, and sight,
In the light!
Stay thy heart, O be not afraid; (Fear dispel, all is well).
Yea, I'd part with all for thy aid (to my last farewell);
And the Light that pierced thee
Too can heal thee...
Grace to be at thy side,
E'er abide;
Hear Her sweet lullaby:
"I for thee would die..."

Piano - Zelda: The Times and Seasons
Hello again.
This is the second movement of a 5-movement, hour-long arrangement of music from The Legend of Zelda by Nintendo.
"The Times and Seasons" goes through the Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Oracle of Seasons and Ages, and Four Swords; the movement ends with "Final Hours" from Majora's Mask.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffsBK7FSj4g
I really enjoy this one, but it took so long to figure out which songs to cut out. In the first four games, there isn't that much music to pick from, but this movement is tricky because it has both OoT and MM -- games with tons of music that I know how to play (and I had to cut New Wave Bossa Nova and Elegy of Emptiness D: ) -- as well as OoA/S and FS, which have barely any original music. I really wanted to use Twinrova's theme as a transition between MM and OoS, but it turns out I don't know that song as well as I thought I did.
Also, yes I know, I didn't put in Kakariko Village, Gerudo Valley, or Stone Tower. They're for later.

Piano - The Woes of Grace
:D
This piece is a completely original composition by myself, and is my first attempt at making a deeply emotional song. I don't think I've done the title justice, nor truly lived up to my goal; I guess I'll just have to keep learning and making more songs.
The mood of the piece is somber, yes, but at the same time, it always feels hopeful, which fits very well with the motif of grace; however, I didn't quite capture "woes" as well as I'd have liked to.
This is the piano solo version of the song; I have also written a version for a full string ensemble, which will make its first live performance in a few months. Hopefully, it will be recorded with good quality for me to upload on Youtube.

Piano - Zelda: A Legend's Dawn
Yup. I do music too.
This particular arrangement is the first movement of a 5-movement, hour-long arrangement of music from The Legend of Zelda by Nintendo.
The piece will move through every installment in the series (up to A Link Between Worlds), in release date order. The first movement, "A Legend's Dawn", goes through the first 4 games, and introduces Ocarina of Time (the fifth game), which will be the beginning for the second movement.
I'll just have the link down below; I don't trust uploading the file to work.

The Wisdom of Eve
Eve walked the pathways of the Garden many days and many nights, and, whether she was gazing at the stars or watching the flowers blow in the breeze, she was always at peace in Eden. Her favorite things to see, however, were the trees. Among the divers kinds of trees there was birch, oak, redwood, acacia, and spruce. They grew up from within and beyond the earth, their branches extending to the heavens above.
And the most beautiful of all the trees in the Garden was the Tree of Life. It stood humbly in the midst of the fields, surrounded by lilies. She would often find herself walking unaware to the warm embrace the leaves offered her when she wasn’t with Adam, her husband. Recently, though, she began noticing the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil as she trod the trail to the Tree. She hadn’t realized it before, but now she saw that the only path to the Tree of Life led past this latter Tree. Every day now, she would stop and sit under the stretch of the Tree of Knowledge

Eternal Pride (Prologue): Ghirahim's Awakening
Lightning struck the battlefield, and the clouds laughed thunderously; their Master was fighting well. Demise's blade was sharp and powerful, beyond any comparison to earthly things. With it in hand, the Demon King seemed unstoppable, an immense shadow of darkness.
But Link was stronger. His spirit was more powerful, his blade more sharp, and Fi, his forward, was a light that Ghirahim's gloom could never endure. Lightning struck again with the strength of fire, the continuity of water, and the effulgence of sunshine onto the Master Sword. Link swung, and a flurry of energy both free and guided, swift and contained, hurtled towards the abomination of Life. Demise, shocked in both senses, knelt on the ground as the Hero of Legend leapt forward and struck the villain's head.
Onward the battle went, edges foiling each other, but light dominating at all points. Ultimately, a beam of electric might tossed by the Blade of Evil came thundering at Link. The Hero swung the Blade of Evil's Bane,

Fi's Awakening (Part 4): Waker of the Winds
Seagulls flew.
They were so simple to her, but so beautiful. Never had or would anything be as intimately fascinating to Aryll as these majesties were. They never fretted about the changes tomorrow might bring, or of the food they might not have or the protection they might not find. For essentially her entire childhood, this curious attribute of seagulls gave Aryll a smile; and, along with her friendly neighbors, her sweet grandmother, and her brother, the seagulls made certain that Aryll would never find a day without some happiness, some simple joy resting within. She was given a telescope at 6 years of age, which opened up new vision for her, a more precise method of perceiving her best friends.
Of course, that also meant quite a bit of spying on her brother. It was for fun, of course, not for anything malicious – she didn’t know such things. All she knew was that the seagulls would carry her dreams, her hopes; she knew that Link would be her hero, her brother.

By Previous Design
Joseph, to a grove of trees, retired with prayer in mind.
In this shaded, pathless wood was where he sought to find
A truth forgotten by the farm -- that world he left behind, --
And so knelt down where he had come, by previous design.
He had searched through ancient writ an answer to his plea:
"Which church of these is Thine, O Lord? I wish to follow Thee!"
Epistle wrought of James he read, and simply spoke verse five
A truth which God had kept inside, by previous design.
"If any man lack wisdom, let him ask of Me,
Who never doth upbraid, and gives to all men lib'rally."
So, when Joseph Smith retired, both in faith and true desire,
Though the devil did conspire, he did pray with strength of fire!
Light descended like a spire, quickly casting out the Liar:
As the Sun but so much brighter came the Godhead from the Higher!
Just their presence made the mire of the world seem much less dire;
Finally, the words inspired, echoed by angelic choirs:
"This is My Beloved Son, Hear Him!"

Its warmth and light holding back demons
Who nash their horrid yellow teeth with threats most dire;
The words exploding around me like bombs.
Sultry sirens desire to hypnotize
And call my soul away to diverse paths
In the dark where hide gorgons with green eyes,
Pale grey ogres, and ravenous wraths.
This cold night is long but I will not rest
Nor sleep for I must keep my light burning.
Those lost in the fog search for this hill crest
Where I watch the stars and wait for morning.
Come join my vigil 'til the night is gone,
Rest your aching bones, and sit at my pyre.
Look to the east for the much wanted dawn.
Come phoenix!  Cleanse this weary world with fire.

Portal 2 - The Best Defense
There is a reason why she never speaks.
It isn’t superstition, or fear that countless ghosts of long gone scientists might follow her. Even if she believed in nonsense like that, she wouldn’t worry. The place is too inhospitable even for the dead.
She has no real intention to pretend she is mute. Although, to be fair, she likes confusing them – whenever they believe she cannot talk back, that adds a great margin to her meager safety.
She doesn’t do it to think, either. She is not focusing on the perfect words, on a last, lethal blow to deliver with her tongue. She is not risking it against anything artificial, intelligent or stupid alike.
She has a reason, and it is so natural she doesn’t even focus on it. By shutting up, she is playing a game of resilience. She has done it all her life, and the one she will lose to is yet to be found.
She is used to watching them, nervous adversaries, writhing in agony at the lack of a reaction. And impatient enemies may

just another number counted off.
I don't want to be that someone
that can't be named.
I want to have my name written
among the shining stars,
and my voice spoken after my
lips cease to move.
I want to be one whose footsteps
leave behind prints that
stand against the harshest of times,
and leave the watcher trying
to follow my path.
I don't want to fade out
into the wind-
for then the world will surely forget
that I once was my own self.
When the wolf howls,
I'd love it to cry out to me.
I'll come back dancing in the moonlight and playing
with the darkest of shadows.
I'll disappear with the morning sun,
for I cannot stay when the
world is awake.
I'll go back to where I now reside.
But one will stare out
from their dewy window,
and swear that they saw me smiling.
They'll scratch their head and say:
"Was she just a dream?"
From my shelter of stone,
with a small grin,
I will reply to that one silently:

A Lifetime in No Time
A Lifetime in No Time
I look back to that past,
and wonder often:
"Was that really me?"
I scratch my head and think:
"Did I really feel that?"
Time is how we feel we feel it is,
a month short or long.
A day could be but a year,
and a year but a day.
I have changed so much
that it is hard for me to
comprehend how it
wasn't longer than it was.
Can a human heart
beat so differently so quickly?
Can life go from nothing
to everything so fast?
I feel as though the years
were nothing but moments-
but those certain months became
decades in what I have come to know.
I am but a fool,
my words making very little sense.
I know it seems crazy,
but forgive me for my odd mind.
I am almost expecting
for my skin to become wrinkled,
and for my eyes to become dull and weak.
I have aged without aging,
and learned without reading.
Is that really time passing?

A Letter
How doth thou find me wherever I go?
'Tis not though I leave thee a path in the snow.
I curse thee, reject thee, and cast thee astray
And yet every morning thou asketh to stay.
Thou followeth round to buzz in my ear,
When truth be found, I don't want thee near.
Thou callest me brother but out of thy mouth
Fly lies against Father.  Thou art a louse.
I tire of thy game of ne'er ending pains.
I know of thy aim to see me in chains.
Thou nipeth my heels but I'll crush thy head.
Keep up thy deals, I'll grind thee like bread.
Turn all against me, it mattereth not.
My path is before me.  I will not be caught.
This is my letter.  You know who it's for.
Thou couldst have been greater, my brother, Lucifer.

Past And Present. A Link Between Worlds
He must have been a great hero,
One loved by many,
To be pictured here in glory,
To be looked upon like art,
His tales are known across all the lands,
Great myths and legends,
Mine are still young and unsettled,
Mine are new and modern,
We came from the same place,
Lived very similar lives,
Taken a sword and shield against our will,
Taken a trip across two entire worlds,
I look upon his painted face,
Wondering where the scars are,
I’ve had my fears and doubts,
I’ve had foes crush my soul to bleed,
He seems so powerful in the brushstrokes,
Fighting for the greater good,
I’m glad to be able to see these paintings,
I’m glad to be in my own.

Darkness
„Tell me a story of darkness," the sun asked the moon, but the moon just smiled and shook his head.
„There is no real darkness," the moon replied. „It's really just the absence of light."
The sun was confused. „Isn't that what darkness is all about?" she asked with a puzzled look on her face.
Again the moon smiled. „Indeed it is. But darkness is an illusion. It doesn't exist."
„I'm quite sure it does," the sun said and she seemed very certain. "Everybody is always talking about darkness."
The moon nodded understandingly. „Oh, but they talk about a lot of things, don't they? Let me ask you this: Have you ever actually seen darkness?"
The sun went quiet for a moment. She looked down upon the earth in deep contemplation, thinking about what the moon had said, and eventually she had to admit: „No, I haven't."
The moon nodded. „See. That's what I'm talking about. It doesn't actually exist. Darkness may seem big and scary at times, but it's really

O to Sit on a Throne in the Sky
O to sit on a throne in the sky,

Watching man and the work of his hands,
Should you wonder when the heavens cry?
Man pleads to heaven making demands
And quickly lays claim to many lands.
Self-justified he roams as he will,
Treating God's work like troublesome sands.
The song of the mockingbird is shrill,
To those devious men of ill will.
Their cacophony sweet chokes the wind
Against this din I take up my quill.
I oft stand alone facing the wind.
Pelted by sand, I only can grin.
I gather my strength and defiant, shout.
Facing my trials, I follow my kin.
Watch your step on your overgrown route.
Look not for help, face in a pout.
You'll receive no help, hands at your side.
Get your hands dirty, dig yourself out!
Have you forgotten who is your guide?
Have you run off and from the truth hide?
Pick the wrong path, your spirit will die.

Identity Crisis
“Who are you?”
If someone asked me that question
Two weeks ago,
I might have been able to gather together
A vague collection
Of general words
To describe who I am,
But that question would have haunted me.
It would have wormed its way
Into my thoughts
With subtle whispers of
“Did I tell them right?”
And less subtle worries of
“Is that really who I am?”
“Who am I?”
Now that’s a good question.
Two weeks ago,
If I had truly asked myself that,
I would have had no answer.
Yes,
I do know the answers I tell others
But that isn’t really me.
And just saying simply,
“I’m Jade Lundgren”
Doesn’t help either
Because I don’t know who that is.
“Who am I?”
This is the question I asked
Two weeks ago
During a sincere prayer
I hoped for a drastic revelation,
But all I got was a warm fuzzy feeling
And the words
“You don’t need to know right now.”
And that was it.
“Who you are.

Pledged to take thy soul and theirs within;
So It breaks! But what can mend the heart-
ache?

(No lyrics for Game Over motif)

Justice shall claim thee, and
Justice shall shame me; O
Justice shall turn us to
Dust!
Berguntruking/ASGORE Lyrics
No, I'm not making a series for this. Just like how the song includes so many good motifs, musical and otherwise.

Wind of Life, give me flight
Beyond the shoreline;
Set me free - free to soar
B'yond the sea!
By thy might, may I lie
Amid the starlight,
As I rise - rise once more
Thru the skies!

O seagulls, take me;
Send me onward to
Horizons unseen!
'Til then, fall I again
And weep... my Hero!

Wind of Hope, as you roam
Across the unknown,
May I hear - hear thy song
Drawing near!
Guide me home from the lone-
-ly World of seafoam.
Be my light - light the long
Ocean night!

O skyfish, wake me;
Turn my dream into
Reality!
'Til then, Nightmare again
Will reign... my Hero!

Wind of Peace, bid to cease
The storm about me;
In its wake, wake the World
For my sake!
"Do not grieve - I'll not leave
My place within thee -
In thy dreams- in thy heart
Shall I be!"

O, come and save me!
As you wander toward
Horizons unseen,
My friend, think of me then;
Farewell... my Hero!
Zelda Lyrics: Ballad of the Wind Fish
So, two hard things in making this: I needed to fit in the windfish, and I needed to make it about Link and Marin at the same time. I think I did okay making the Hero metaphor connecting the winds, seagulls, and the Windfish to Link. All in all, this made me think more about the Wind Waker than anything else.

It is a tough word -
As enduring as that to which it refers;
Valient standing, brinking on the abyss of "Lost" -
Ever the frontier 'twixt "Success" and "Fail";
Remote and solidary - the gateway veil
Parting one era from ages to come. Whether it be a

Resistance's last stand, or the
Eventide's last beam; a
Vigilant last warrior, or an
Emerald's lasting gleam; whether
Raptured in lasting peace,
Or lasting an onslaught of beasts: by
Faith were they created; by faith shall they everlastingly live.
Last
So, it's been a long while. I made the first mental draft of this on the spot when I heard we were on our last gallon of milk... I sorta just spouted out "Last, huh? It is a tough word..."

I have a new concept in the works -- a mini-series titled "Link:", followed by the official title of the Link to be featured in the writing. For example, "Link: The Hero of Winds" would be an explanation about the unique character of Link from the Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass, from his own perspective. Getting one out is really going up on priority right now.

Following, I have Hilda's Theme and Song of Time lyrics, followed up with Stone Tower Temple.

Then, "Minds" Part 3 (I just need to figure out a setting to put my thoughts into coherently).

And then, Fi's Awakening and Minecraft Lore.

Course, this isn't my order of release (obviously). Just my focus points for now.

Happy birthday!!!
its a shame to see you haven't posted in a while, but then again, who am I to talk? I haven't been active since November XD
Anyways, I'm slowing starting to inch back towards my interest in verse, and I hope that someday you'll do the same, since your lyrics are honestly some of the best I've seen online :)

:| ... wow, I haven't posted in a LONG time!

I'm so sorry, I just don't get on this site often. I'm still writing "Fi's Awakening" (and eventually a side piece on Ghirahim, "Eternal Pride"), as well as some new general poetry; I want to play through all the Zelda games to get some more detailed understanding of specific people and events before I do more Zelda poetry/lyrics.

Hey, man! Been a while! Just wanted to let you know that I've official published my version of the song of time on my page, in case you needed ideas/advice or had any feedback. Not sure if the way I wrote it is really up your alley or anything, but I just thought I'd throw it out there.

I saw them!

Your lyrics are good, although I'll have to be picky: I don't think the accents in the words match the accented notes of the song :P

The down beat is the second note of the song (da DA, da da DA) whereas your lyrics have this accent: DUH da, da DA da. The first two stanzas have this off-beat accenting.

Have you seen this Zelda comic before? It's pretty good, an interesting twist on the Legend of Zelda. I think you'd like it. comiz-inc.deviantart.com/galle…

I have not seen it before. I read the first 20 pages, and although I think its written well (and certainly drawn well), I don't find it too entertaining.

I dunno, I never liked reading stories with OC's based on other stories; it feels too much like a different universe for me to treat it the same as I do Zelda. Like, when it comes to fan creations, since it doesn't involve a game aspect like the canon series does, I like when stories include furthering insights to the existing story, rather than copying elements into a new story...
